Dennis – my new job doesn’t start until September, so I’m still living the life (and budget) of a poor grad student. In many ways it seems surreal. I’m sure the realization will kick in once I start packing!

Jen – Ordinarily I would delete such an irrelevant comment without hesitation, but I’m in a good mood today. So, I say “thank you” for the correction. I learned something new today.

AP – The move won’t be fun, but it isn’t terrible. I live in the Midwest right now, so I’m looking at a looooong day’s drive, but it’s not as bad as if I were moving to TX from Seattle or anything.

Congrats on graduating, despite the bad timing. Keep your chin up about the job search. The Great Recession won’t last forever. Intelligent and motivated people will always be in demand, whether or not that demand is in our intended areas. Good luck!

Hey congatulations on your job. I’m currently looking for a job right now too, I’m a 23 year old recent graduate. I literally graduated in December ‘08 with a BS in Finance. Like you, I was surprised that his recession hit right as I was about to graduate. You said the university was in Texas, how do you feel about the move you’ll have to make?
